Construction Safety 101
In the construction industry, workers experience a high rate of workplace injuries and fatalities which is why construction safety is so important. For safe construction practices, it is important to review safety precautions for each construction division. In concrete work, you should immediately wash any part of your body that comes in direct contact with wet concrete, and with forklifts, all drivers should be trained and certified in forklift operations. Regarding scaffolding, it should always be a minimum of 10 feet way from electric power lines, and for electrical work, all tools should be grounded unless they are double insulated. Before performing any construction work, take time to educate yourself on proper construction safety protocol.
